The Morakniv model KANSBOL, named after a town near Mora, is a reliable outdoor knife that surprises with its low weight. The knife has a blade made of stainless Sandvik steel 12C27 and has the typical Scandinavian grind, which allows for easy sharpening. The blade thickness has been tapered in the front area to enable finer carving work. As with other models from Morakniv, the back of the blade is deliberately kept angular so that it can serve as a grating surface for a fire starter. The olive green handle made of non-slip TPE plastic ensures a secure grip when working. In the survival kit version offered here, the knife comes with a plastic quiver sheath as well as a removable holder with a fire starter and diamond sharpener.
